Current Alpha status
The WARDOGS Alpha has ended and no current official route accepts new Alpha players. An August 11, 2026 developer announcement described the Closed Alpha as completed and redirected current access interest toward the Closed Beta. The former community flow cannot continue granting Alpha keys because the externally distributable Steam-key allocation reached its limit.
Alpha timeline
- A small group tested Pre-Alpha builds for several months.
- The testing pool expanded in June 2026.
- Extended Pre-Alpha gameplay became public on June 6.
- The later Closed Alpha ended before the August 11 announcement.
- The Closed Beta follows on August 21–23.
This timeline combines the Steam news history with the developer FAQ while keeping completed events separate from current instructions. It does not supply exact start and end hours for every early test because those were not preserved in the collected sources. Any more precise Alpha schedule is therefore pending confirmation / 待确认.
Can you still join
No current official route grants a new Closed Alpha place. The community portal can support future-test registration, but it must not be described as an Alpha-key generator or guaranteed invitation. Use the Closed Beta guide for the active pre-purchase and Request Access options.
NDA and sharing footage
The official post said the standard Closed Alpha NDA had been lifted, allowing participants to share saved footage from that test. It also warned that separate ETP tests may still be under NDA. Participants must read the notice attached to their specific build before publishing screenshots, video, logs, or private-channel messages.
Progress carry-over
Developer FAQ material says cash earned in early Pre-Alpha testing does not carry into the full Early Access game because progression and economy systems are still changing. The collected sources do not confirm transfer rules for every other statistic, setting, or later Beta entitlement. Those details are pending confirmation / 待确认 unless the current test notice states otherwise.
What comes after Alpha
The confirmed sequence is Closed Alpha ended → Closed Beta August 21–23 → Steam Early Access September 10. Official Steam news can revise test details, so the latest dated developer announcement takes precedence over archived FAQ wording. A successful Alpha does not by itself confirm final server performance, player counts, or launch quality.
Confirmed facts stay separate from speculation.
