Official download route
The only confirmed WARDOGS download route is the official Steam client for Windows PC. The Steam account must own the game or hold an active Playtest license before an Install option can appear. There is no approved standalone installer, torrent, mirror, mobile APK, or console download.
Install step by step
- Download Steam from the official Steam client page.
- Install the client and sign in to the correct Steam account.
- Open Library and select WARDOGS or the active WARDOGS Playtest entry.
- Choose Install, select a Steam Library drive, and follow the client prompts.
- Let Steam finish downloads and updates before launching.
The Install button appears only when the relevant product or test license is available to that account. A wishlist, community registration, Discord membership, or Request Access submission is not the same as a license. Pending confirmation / 待确认: preload timing has not been announced.
Current PC requirements
Steam currently lists Windows 10 as the minimum operating system, 16 GB RAM, a GTX 1660 or RX 590-class GPU, and 50 GB available space. The recommended listing moves to Windows 11 and an RTX 3070 or RX 6700 XT-class GPU. The 50 GB figure is official, while extra headroom for updates and temporary files is a practical storage precaution rather than a separate WARDOGS requirement.
If WARDOGS is missing
- Confirm the Steam account used for purchase, activation, or Playtest approval.
- Remember that Request Access is not approval.
- Check whether the Beta or release download window is actually open.
- Restart the Steam client after receiving a license.
- Review account licenses and the official announcement before reinstalling anything.
Manage Steam storage
Steam's Settings → Storage view can show Library locations and available space. Valve's support documentation explains how to add a Library location or move an installed game between drives. Valve also warns that external drives can introduce performance problems, so use Steam's own storage tools instead of manually deleting application folders.
Avoid unofficial downloads
Do not run files branded as a “WARDOGS Beta launcher,” disable security software for a mirror, or enter Steam credentials on a third-party download page. This wiki provides instructions and official links only; it never hosts game files or access tools. When in doubt, return to App ID 1867240 on Steam rather than following a copied installer link.
Confirmed facts stay separate from speculation.
Dates, prices, platforms, test access, downloads, and gameplay rules are checked against Steam, Team17, BULKHEAD, or another named first-party source. Community claims are labeled until independently confirmed.
